The school division is beginning the plans for our students in 6th grade through 12th grade to return.

In order to assist with planning and determining the appropriate time and model of instruction for returning students, the school division is seeking information from parents about whether or not they would like for their child(ren) to begin receiving instruction in-person.

The school division would prefer to have students return to school four days per week. However, the schedule may have to switch to a hybrid model, if the number of students selecting in-person instruction is greater than the capacity that the school can maintain while adhering to the CDC guidelines. Staffing availability may affect the schedule as well. In the hybrid model, the students would attend in-person instruction two days per week while completing asynchronous work on the other two days.

Parents are being asked to select whether or not their child would return to in-person learning in each of these instructional models. This decision will be for the remainder of the school year.

The first model will offer in-person instruction Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. This model will follow the same schedule as the students are currently using for virtual instruction.

The second model will offer in person instruction (2) days per week with students attending either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. On the opposite days, students will complete work sent home with them on their in-person instructional days.

Please use the form linked below to indicate your intent for your child to receive instruction in-person or virtual in each instructional model. The data from this survey will be utilized to determine when and how the 6th through 12th grade students will be able to return.

Following the school board's decision, your child's school will communicate with you about the next steps.
